Personal Cyber Defence for High-Risk Individuals

Executives, board members and high-net-worth individuals can be targeted through personal email, messaging, social media, home networks, exposed personal information and devices used across personal and corporate contexts.

NSI Global provides executive cyber risk assessments, digital-footprint mapping, account and device hardening, communications configuration, impersonation monitoring and incident support. Engagements may cover an individual, family office or board cohort and can be coordinated in Australia or internationally, subject to scope and local requirements.

Key Areas of Protection

Personal Cyber Risk Assessment & Digital Footprint Mapping

Identify publicly available personal data, accounts, and exposures that increase vulnerability.

Executive Threat Monitoring

Monitor agreed public and lawfully accessible sources for indications of impersonation, doxxing, targeted phishing and exposed account information.

Secure Communications Advisory

Review mobile applications, messaging platforms and email configurations against the individual’s threat model and communication requirements.

Personal Device Hardening

Assess and harden approved phones, tablets, computers and home-network components used for sensitive communications.

Common Exposure Points

  • Personal accounts used for corporate recovery or authentication
  • Publicly exposed phone numbers, addresses and family information
  • Weak account-recovery and multi-factor authentication settings
  • Personal devices and home networks outside corporate controls
  • Executive impersonation, targeted phishing and doxxing

What Exposure Usually Looks Like

In most assessments the finding is not a sophisticated attack. It is a personal email address reused across services, a home network with a default credential, a family member’s device on the same network as yours, or a property record, school or travel pattern that is publicly discoverable and enough to build a convincing approach.

We map what is already visible about you before testing anything, because that is what an attacker does first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will you need access to my personal devices?

Only with your authority, and only as far as the assessment requires. Much of the initial work is external — mapping what is already publicly exposed about you — and requires no access at all.

Is this visible to my employer?

That is your choice. Engagements are frequently arranged privately by the individual, and we do not report to an organisation unless you instruct us to. Where the engagement is corporate-funded, we agree the reporting line in writing before starting.

Do you work internationally?

Yes. Advisory and monitoring work is delivered remotely wherever you are, within the law of each jurisdiction involved.

What happens if you find something?

Depending on the timeframe chosen, we will tell you, explain the exposure in plain terms, and set out the options. Where the finding involves a compromised device or account, we preserve the evidence before changing anything, so your options stay open.

What this engagement does not cover.

Testing is bounded by the scope agreed in writing. We do not test systems outside that scope, and no assessment establishes that an environment is free of vulnerabilities — only that the agreed scope was examined using the agreed techniques within the agreed window. Every report states what was tested, what was not, and what the evidence does and does not support.
