eDiscovery is the process where electronically stored information is found, secured, accessed, and analysed for legal and investigative purposes.
In today’s high-tech business world, documents have moved from filing cabinets to file folders on desktop computers, mobile devices, and servers. The process of identifying and producing all this electronically stored information (ESI) is now commonly referred to as e-discovery.
The Shortcoming of Standard eDiscovery
What if the sought-after information is no longer stored? What if that information has been purposely deleted?
Standard eDiscovery can be defeated where a party has deleted or concealed material. If these actors can successfully keep this evidence from being recovered, the results of a standard e-discovery investigation can oftentimes be either weak or inconclusive.
eDiscovery work is overseen by founder Navid Sobbi, whose forensic evidence has been relied on in Australian state and federal courts.
