Another cyber espionage group has recently been found “APT 30”. This group has been conducting cyber espionage since at least 2005, stealing sensitive information. They target governments, journalists and commercial entities across South East Asia and India in countries like: Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Nepal, Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia, naming just a few. They focus on Southeast Asia regional political, economic and military issue and disputed territories and topics.
Throughout the years their malware has developed similar to that of an established technology businesses, improving and reforming to suit the rapidly improving technology that government and business systems have. They however have not changed their attack infrastructure, which is a sign that their victims don’t even realise this is happening.
